Baccarat is one of the most popular table games among Malaysian players, and for very good reason. It is easy to pick up, fast-paced, and offers some of the best odds in the casino — with a house edge as low as 1.06% on the Banker bet. At ST789, you can enjoy a full baccarat experience across seven different variants, all hosted by real dealers via high-quality HD video streaming, 24 hours a day.
Many Malaysian players who try baccarat at ST789 for the first time are surprised by how straightforward the game is. Unlike poker, which demands complex decision-making, baccarat is a simple comparison game between two hands — Banker and Player. All you need to do is pick which side you think will win, or whether it'll be a tie, place your bet, and the dealer handles everything else. There's no complicated strategy to memorise before you can start enjoying the game.
Among all the variants available at ST789, Lightning Baccarat is currently the most played by Malaysian members. Developed by Evolution Gaming, it retains classic baccarat mechanics but adds an extra layer of excitement — each hand, a random selection of cards is assigned a multiplier between x2 and x8. This means a regular RM1,000 win can instantly become RM8,000 the moment your card becomes a Lightning card. Thrilling, distinct, and perfect for players who want more than a standard 1:1 payout.
For players who prefer a statistical approach, classic baccarat at ST789 features road maps that are displayed automatically throughout gameplay. The Bead Road, Big Road, Big Eye Boy, and Cockroach Road all help players track patterns from previous hands to make more informed betting decisions. While mathematically each hand is an independent event, these road maps remain one of the most sought-after features among experienced baccarat players across Malaysia.
No Commission Baccarat is another variant that's hugely popular among ST789 players. In standard baccarat, a 5% commission is charged on Banker wins — meaning if you bet RM100 and Banker wins, you only receive RM95. In No Commission Baccarat, that commission is removed entirely. The trade-off is that when Banker wins with a value of 6, the payout is halved to 1:0.5. For players who frequently bet on Banker, this variant tends to be more favourable over the long run.
Making a deposit to play baccarat at ST789 is simple and straightforward. You can use Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, DuitNow, or FPX online banking such as Maybank2u and CIMB Clicks. All transactions are processed in MYR with no hidden fees. Deposits are typically completed in under a minute, so you can head straight to your preferred baccarat table without any interruption.
ST789 is perfectly suited for smartphone play. All baccarat variants are optimised for mobile screens and run smoothly on both Android and iOS with no app installation required.
